Songs for the Children's Sacrament Meeting Presentation
I Know That My Savior Loves Me
Jenny, a fellow Primary music leader, printed up lyric sheets for this song. She has graciously given me permission to post it on my site. Thanks, Jenny!
Next, we have a flip chart that I made for I Know That My Savior Loves Me. It has key phrases, not all of the words. I am going to laminate each page, and use 2 metal rings at the top to attach them all together. You could also put each page in a page protector in a cheap clip binder.
If you want a flipchart with the full lyrics printed on one side, and the picture on the other, email me and I will do it up.
You do know by now that I like color ink, don't you? My motto: Stimulate the economy. Buy color ink.
The January Friend also had a nice way to teach this song using word strips. One teaching idea was to "Compare the lines of the two verses to highlight the similarities and differences between their messages." I think this would work exceptionally well with the older children, taking word strips down as they went along.

2010 Songbook
It's a new year, and that means we will all be busy getting ready to teach new songs to our Primaries. Last year, a wonderful sister posted a songbook of all of the 2009 songs on the Yahoo Primary Music e-mail group in the files section. She made them on a quarter sheet of cardstock, and used a little ring to hold them together. She mentioned that they wanted to give the songbooks to the parents so they can sing the songs with their children.
I thought this was a great idea, but some of the songs were unfamiliar to parents and leaders. So, I printed the melody line and lyrics of the songs. I've had a number of requests for the songbooks again for 2010, so here they are!
They print 2 to a page, since any smaller is hard to read. Print, and attach with a metal ring at the top. I also plan on laminating my copy.
As you know, the songs for 2 of the months are left for us to choose. If I get several requests for a particular song, I will make them up as time allows. Drop me an e-mail at dnetlayton@yahoo.com if you'd like to add a song to the list.
Note: I am my own proofreader/editor. I make lots of mistakes. Some I catch, some I don't. If you find an error, please e-mail me and I'll fix it!

Sing Your Way Home

Did you all see the Sing Your Way Home game by Liz Brown on Sugardoodle? It is absolutely incredible! I made up the game using the pictures in the Baptism flipchart. You can also print up the game board I made and glue it on a piece of poster board. For the instructions and game pieces Liz made, click on the Sing Your Way Home link above.

This song uses images from the New Testament Scripture Reader. I think this is one of my favorites so far. Besides using it as a traditional flipchart, you can cut the words from the bottom of the picture, stick magnets to the back, and use as a poster of sorts. You could have the children take a word phrase away each time as you sing it until only pictures remain. You could then do the same thing with the pictures. To "laminate" the pictures, I placed each one in a page protector, trimmed of the strip with the holes, and then trimmed the top down to the picture level. Works great for very little money!

Seek the Lord Early - Flipchart

This poster was pretty easy to assemble. I bought a piece of black poster board, printed the pictures, used a die-cut machine for the letters, and assembled it together. I think it would be good to print off a few keywords to place by each picture while the children are learning it.

I Feel My Savior's Love - This was posted in the Friend several years ago. I enlarged the picture and files, and sent it to be printed at Costco. Each page cost only $3, so I figure it is probably cheaper than printing it at home. I also like the larger size over my home printer.
After I had it printed, I decided I wanted larger rays than what I got printed at Costco. I made up these rays that can just be printed on your home printer. These are what I have pictured above.
I Feel My Savior's Love Center - 12x12
I Feel My Savior's Love - Rays - 12x12
I Feel My Savior's Love - Rays verse 1 and chorus to print on your home printer
I Feel My Savior's Love - Rays v. 2 and 3 to print on your home printer
This is another song that many people are choosing. I am seriously loving this visual aid. It is a 12x18 poster that I had printed up at Costco for a whopping $3. If you don't have a Costco or Sam's Club card, find someone who does, or have it printed from an online place such as Shutterfly.
I decided that I wanted it bigger than the original 12x18 poster, so I made it up to print the top title and picture of Christ on one page 12x18 page, and the 6 smaller pictures on another. All assembled, it would will be 12x24 inches. I also did up 6 pictures for the second verse. I think it would be fun to cut apart the 6 squares and have the children place them in order as they learn the song. I laminated each piece, and put a magnet strip on the back. Makes for an easier-to-store-than-a-poster visual aid that is a bit different.
I Wonder When He Comes Again - 12x18 poster - 1st verse only (Costco said the resolution was too small for this size, but it turned out fine)
I Wonder When He Comes Again - Title and Christ, 12x18 poster
I Wonder When He Comes Again - Verse 1 pictures, 12x18 poster
I Wonder When He Comes Again - Verse 2 pictures, 12x18 poster

Quite a few people are singing Beautiful Savior for one of their choices.
This visual aid is from a Friend back in 1999. I enlarged and colored the pictures. All you have to do is print, cut, stick a magnet strip on the back, and you're done. The original had key words either printed on the pictures or on tabs. I preferred to just have the pictures, but you can print whichever version you want. I also added a picture of some flags for the "Lord of the Nations" phrase after I took the picture above that you can use if you'd like.
If you want to color the pictures yourself, I've provided the black and white outline as well. For the picture of Christ, you can print it with the other graphics, or save the ink and use a picture that you already have. I did round the picture of Christ to fit with the look of the other pictures.

2009 Primary Songbook - 2 per page
A wonderful sister posted a songbook of all of the 2009 songs on the Yahoo Primary Music e-mail group in the files section. She made them on a quarter sheet of cardstock, and will use a little ring to hold them together. She mentioned that they wanted to give the songbooks to the parents so they can sing the songs with their children.
I thought this was a great idea, but some of the songs we can use this year are unfamiliar to parents and leaders. So, I printed the melody line and lyrics of the songs. They print 2 to a page, since any smaller is hard to read. You can print the cover and page with the themes if you wish, and attach them at the top with a metal ring. I also highly recommend using cardstock!
As you know, the songs for 2 of the months are left for us to choose. If I get several requests for a particular song, I will make them up as time allows. Drop me an e-mail at dnetlayton@yahoo.com if you'd like to add a song to the list.
